Ok, with thanks to Waldo_posth I made another shadows-setting.

It remains depressing:

Brief spell of sunshine during our morning exercise today. Ollie and Rosie were sat watching a deer disappear into the woods. I was going to try and capture the deer* but too far away, and then I noticed we had the sun directly behind us.

One shadow and his dogs:

I have also doubts that this thing called sun is a real...

First, alternative take on the long exposure traffic shot to the opposite direction of my today's primary selection:

And then few photos with shorter shutter speeds:

Day 3 outtakes: evening Drizzle in Amsterdam

The normal view of Magere Burg (Skinny bridge)

If you take off all the lit parts and reattach them randomly, it looks like this

Giant mobile with lit ornaments

lit tunnel

Blue (sometimes green) object

All A1 FE55mm F1.8 ZA
These are pictures of the 10th anniversary of the Amsterdam Light Festival.
Not much to celebrate though. On foot, you can see some of the objects. some of them aren't even lit.

I set myself to take B&W through Week 50, and have stuck to the task.
However, as some have commented, it's rather strange to be concealing the bright light and summery colours of the Southern Hemisphere at this time of year.

So here are a couple of colour out-takes from Day 4. Same subject and setting of senior men's doubles tennis - my weekly fix.

One of those busier than usual days today. My next door neighbour lost his wife to cancer last Christmas so we keep an eye on him. He is nearly blind so cannot drive and therefore I run him about a bit. today we went for our monthly haircut (!) and the journey back involved visits to the garden centre and supermarket and by the time I got home it was dark.

Tried to grab a few shots of my uncooperative golden retrievers in the morning sunshine and when I told Rosie I was going out for a while she curled up in her bed with Leo, the well chewed and sucked stuffed lion:
