I would be honoured to be in your company, I have enjoyed your work. Perhaps we could add a challenge on one day to choose a common subject that is attainable to both of us at different ends of the planet (so no sun kissed beaches ![]() Just an idea |

@bonneville
I like it! Shooting the same subject on the same day should be fun. |

It`s been the quietest year yet for me photo wise, too much work, not enough time.
However I start phased retiral this week and have a Thursday off for the next few weeks, I have much to do still but will try and squeeze a challenge in and there`s no better one than week 50. Will try and air some lesser used ones of my dozen or so 50`s! |

I've been away from Dyxum for a while, mostly as I have been shooting a lot of film lately. I plan to participate in this challenge.
I have a Minolta 50/1.8 for my a65 and alpha film cameras. At least 4 for my Minolta SR-mount cameras and NEX-5 with adapter. At least 4 or 5 for m42 mount (Spotmatic or NEX-5 with adapter) 1 for Canon 4 for Nikon (or NEX-5 with adapter 5 for Leica thread mount (many are Soviet and not calibrated well, but work on NEX-5 with adapter). I will try to do at least 3 or 4 with film - 50 mm on a crop sensor just feels awkward to me. |

It's great to see you back again!
There is no restriction as to camera bodies in this challenge (non-Sony, non-Minolta permissible). So you might CLA your Spotmatic (if necessary). We will leave open the threads for considerable time before we start the voting for the exbibition: Film is welcome! |

It's my only E mount 50mm lens. I could tape up a zoom but that seems rather pointless when I have a prime of the correct focal length. I have a Minolta f1.7 somewhere which I could use with an adapter but that too seems pointless. Ian |

Same here, my only 50mm or I have to tape a zoom lens. I hate to do so. No other options here.

I think you mean SEL50F18F. SEL50F18 is the APS-C OSS lens.
I really liked the SEL50F18F. I recommend it over any classic 50. The SEL50F18 is a nice lens too--much more more complex. And sadly it doesn't cover full-frame. |

@IanC and @Harm vb. We are in an exclusive club in this thread, with only one 50mm lens to our name
