I have never owned or played a Deep Purple song or album. This upset one of my ex-girlfriends quite a bit - but I managed to escape hearing anything about it.

Also never purposefully played (but still never owned) a Meatloaf track.

Guessing I might have heard some on movie sound tracks?

Was off today so got back to cataloguing and cleaning vinyls, which many are in surprisingly good condition for 30, 40 and nearly 50 year old editions. Thinking about getting an ultrasonic tank for deep cleaning to get rid of those last few pops and clicks though but they're sounding great.

Wait, you enjoy analogue music, but you did not join us in our analogue photography "challenge"?

I am thinking about getting a decent record player, something by Pro-Ject, but there is always a reason to wait....

Blind Willie McTell - The Last Session - heavy rain, locked down and the blues, obviously trying to cheer myself up.

I've heard they are like miniature reel-to-reel tapes and that one of the Japanese makers (Technics, Sony? One of those) has a player that you clip on your belt and walk around with. Fascinating technology. I wonder what they think of next, films on cassettes?

A certain popular camera manufacturer still makes their Walkman (digital though it is now), they made a special edition one with a 'moving cassette' on the front of it.

I do however retain my position of lacking the nostalgia genes. I never had a cassette deck or any cassettes as a kid, so I cannot be nostalgic for something I've never experienced until a couple of months ago.

Buyer beware buying old cassettes though - some come with pre-install mold. So I buy bulk lots and assume half will be fit for an 'art project' and not for listening to. Come in about about 1-5% the price of vinyl. Suits me in the cheap seats.

Ozzy Osbourne - See You On The Other Side
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9yYJ6ZAYns

someone rather famous for being as nutty as a fruit cake
also the first time I've played an Ozzy Osbourne track
it just seemed quite fitting today after reading something quite bonkers

What's next? Jacques Loussier?

What about this?
