Even if you are by nature a solitary photographer, you are likely to get a real buzz out of meeting up with other Dyxum members to take photographs. It is fascinating to see how others tackle photographic subjects and great to actually meet the people you have been conversing with on-line.
This topic is for discussion of possible meetings anywhere in the North Eastern US. Dyxum members are invited to suggest meetings and make preliminary plans in this thread. Once you have settled on a venue and date/dates, PM me or any other admin/moderator about having a specific planned event thread set up (this makes your event more visible to other members!). Keep an eye on regions that are near where you live and, if you are visiting somewhere that has a group, why not drop them a line in their regional thread? An index of all the regional threads, planned meetings and resulting photographs can be found here - Bob Janes Can I suggest a: Montreal/Ottawa meet? Region: (Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Kingston, Quebec City, Trois Rivieres, Sherbrooke, Burlington(VT), Plattsburgh(NY)), Syracuse(NY), Buffalo(NY)). The meeting area could be somewhere in the Montreal - Kingston corridor. Edited by Bob J - 01 April 2010 at 16:32 |

Alas, I was in Montreal a few weeks ago, and I don't plan on going back until this summer.
I'm located close to Ottawa, and I can travel about 1 hour for a meet-up. Weekends are always preferable. Anyone else from around here ? |

Out of the topic but taking advantage of this gathering of Eastern Canadians:
I'll be in Quebec in August to visit Montreal, the City of Quebec and some of the national parks to the north. I have searched the web for photographic points of interest in these parks but did not find much. It would be very good to have first hand advice from you. Thank you in advance. |

You wait 56 years to have an excuse to visit Canada and then two pop up one after another...
Following on from my visit to Vancouver, I now have a stem cell collection in Halifax Nova Scotia (just about as far from the last one as is possible)... If anyone is local or likely to be in the area around the 1-4 October - give me a shout! As ever with these trips they can get cancelled or postponed at the drop of a hat - and obviously my transplant courier duties have to take precedence - however if anyone is available, I'd love to meet up... |
