Thanks Paul, Jet, Domien. That sounds very promising.

Jet, when is your vacation in september? Then we'll try to avoid those dates.

For me only september 18/19 and 25 work, but given Jet's "range" probably neither of these will work.

In oktober all my weekends are OK, except saturday 16

If everybody who is interested to attend can post their constraints here we'll see if a logical date starts emerging.

And as always, the more the merrier, so all BeNeLux members are more than welcome to attend (as well as other guests)

I am in if it doesn't conflict with my agenda which is quite loaded. In september I have holidays 1-12; in oktober 8-17.

We have our holiday Saturday 11 Sept. till Sunday the 26th.
October we have all weekends available.

From what I see as dates - the weekend 2 and 3 October might be perfect.

Working around everybodies constraints (of the ones who posted) I think all of september is out but okt 2/3, 23/24 and 30/31 are still possible.

Let's wait for a few more reactions before freezing the date.

Next question to answer after that will be "saturday or sunday" and "where".

Suggestions welcome

Pieter, these weekends are fine but I think the Saturdays a going to be problematic, so if possible the Sundays. For the where I have no suggestions.

Since I am neither BE nor NE nor LUX this may be a "marginal" comment: Since considerable time the Insel Hombroich is on my list (in the hope it might come close to the Louisiana at Humlebaek). It's located near Neuss (between Düsseldorf and Mönchengladbach), near the borders to Belgium and the Netherlands.

Why not having a DYXUM weekend (two days) in October and combine two locations? It's just an idea!

Saturdays or Sundays are both OK to me.
All the weekends are no problem.

Deventer
Amersfoort
Brielle
Delft
Dordrecht
Openlucht museum

Just some names.
Sure there are many more nice places.

Insel Hombroich looks like a real nice place/museum.
If all decide for a two day meet I will adjust and join but it would (so soon after our holiday) not be my first choice.

Hello,

maybe a joint visit to (station) Liege or Bokrijk would be a good idea?
Antwerp station (and city centre) are also nice, but I think we've been there before.

@waldo_posth, Insel Hombroich is also definitely on my list but I feel that for this meeting a 1 day meeting in a more conventional venue inside the BeNeLux is more appropriate. Especially with all the COVID restrictions on travel, testing, vaccination etc. (and all the frequent changes in these rules) I feel it's too early for a group of mainly Dutch people (and a few Belgians) to come to Germany for two days. However I wouldn't mind trying to plan a weekend there in the first half of next year assuming the pandemic will further die down in the coming half year.

@rvangompel, I've been to Luik and indeed the town as well as the station are very nice. However with the majority of participants probably coming from the Netherlands it might be a bit far for most, but I have that wrong let's hear it . Indeed Antwerp has been done at least twice, so less appropriate.

To add to Jet's list, how about Woudrichem (ancient fortified city) and a trip via the foot ferry (voetveer) to castle Loevestijn and back.

Other suggestions and/or reactions to Luik, Jet's list or Woudrichem are more than welcome.

Woudrichem and Loevestijn sounds tempting. Most suitable for a gathering like this I'm sure!

+1
I agree that a two day meeting is probably too "complicated' at this stage.
