Yeah, sorry about the timing... chance of a lifetime IMO and with only one weekend that makes sense logistically for the move... I do hope to connect with local Dyxum folks after the dust settles though!

Thanks Mike! Yes, it is gorgeous. We're actually about 10 miles up the hill from Boulder Creek, but it's all pretty amazing.

Hey, folks: ALERT! We've got an incoming Dyxum'er (from the Netherlands) -- already in-transit:

http://www.dyxum.com/dforum/topic86588_post1015874.html#1015874

I've replied in-thread and by PM, but as I understand the plan, travel is southward from SFO, and I'm northward (and with family obligations) so I may not be available...

Can anyone else try for the rendezvous?

Thanks!

Hey guys, there's a photowalk commemorating the one year anniversary of Google+ and it's happening in SF. Here's more details to anyone that's interested: Photowalk Info. And no, you don't have to be a Google+ user to join. I am planning on joining, although I don't know what my schedule is like that far in advance just yet.

Bumpity-bump!

Spring has sprung... well, it's springing, anyhow. Let's see if we can get some kind of get-together ... well, together.

Based on prior comments, it looks like the majority of Bay Area Dyxumer's are South-Bay / East-Bay sorts (and a couple from slightly further afield, willing to hit the Bay Area for a DyxumMeet), with only a few of us in SF-proper or the North Bay. I hope some of you South-Bay types have managed an occasional mini-meet ... ?   Looks like the Filoli thing had to fold at the last minute. :-(

So... what about a larger meeting?

Speaking for myself: family of 5 and we tend to be busy-busy-busy. I find myself without a single available weekend day for the next 6-7 weeks (this is typical for our family at any given point in time), so I'd probably be looking for something maybe in late March, more likely for April/May.

I've been hankering to visit the old ruined Sutro Baths... any takers in that (April/May) timeframe?

Anyone is the Bay area who's willing to meet and give my 24-70 a test?
I think I have focusing issue. Sent it to Sony and I still have the same problem. Right now, I wanna say the lens is the issue, but I'm not ruling out user fault yet. So, if you wanna try and give it a go, that'd be awesome. I don't wanna send it back to Sony only to find out it's a user mistake problem

Lmk the time and place that'll work best for you.

Hi Everyone, I recently moved back to Sonoma County and would like to get together w/ fellow dyxumers. I spend much time between family and work but do have opportunities for photowalks. Thanks.

BUMP ?

For me, specifically in the North Bay.

But given our great weather, I figure a bump for the entire Bay region is worthwhile...

These things do change at short notice and the date is some way off (so lots of time for it to be cancelled) but there is a possibility that my organization will want me to do a pick up in Stanford.. so I might be visiting the Bay area in Early Feb (provisional dates 1-4), if anyone might be interested in meeting up...
