My UK Dyxum Meet antenna is twitching .

I've been up to my arm-pits in selling our home and buying a new one and I'm trying not to let the stress take over. But it has felt these past weeks that if anything can go wrong, it has! Plan is to actually move a week today.

So photography has suffered as a result and I'll need a real incentive to get back to shooting once it is all over and the dust settles. March will be good for me, but isn't w/e 14/15 The Photography Show at the NEC?

Whatever, I'll always try to join a UK meet if at all possible.

I think you're missing an important scene: The Coast! But that's a bit of a trek from Reading/Berkshire ...
Miranda F & Sensorex, Sony A7Rii, A58, Nex-6, Dynax 4, 5, 60, 500si/600si/700si/800si, various Sony & Minolta lenses, several Tamrons, lots of MF primes and *far* too many old film cameras ...

I got that wrong; the 15th (Sunday) is the only date that works for me.

So I think we have a rough shortlist of....

Phil Wood (Oxford)
Bob J (wherever )
nandbytes (London)
Howard_S (Oxford)
seppoj (midlands)
mgjsmith (frequent Reading visitor)
bonneville (Rutland)
Miranda F (Bristol)

With 26th January just passing and the clash with the photography show at the NEC on 14/15 March (as well as a tug of war between those who can do 14th vs those who can do 15th) let's look for a new date.

Seems my calendar is booked up for a while so do meet up earlier, but dates I can do between now and July are listed below:

28 March
2 May
3 May
16 May
17 May
30 May
31 May

Hopefully we can manage to pencil in a date and then decide whereabouts to head to. Feels like surrounding area of Oxford could be a good middle ground between Bristol, Midlands, Reading. With two dyxummers already there, we'll have some guides to help us, but lets take a call once a date is found.

Hi Folks,

I could possibly manage some of the dates (work impacts this at short notice increasingly ) but Oxford and it's surrounds sounds a good choice - Julie would probably be up for a day out in that area as well (Blenheim perhaps? A bit 'old school' I know but lots of options..) and Oxford itself is a good walk around choice. Keep the thread alive and I hope I can make it - I need to take some pictures soon....

Thanks for the prompting and organising - much appreciated!

Best regards, Neil.
My Mantra: "Comment on other's work as you would wish to have yours commented upon". Go on - it's fun!

I'm not actually in Oxford, but visit quite often as I'm not far away (Newbury).

Another option near Oxford is the Didcot Railway Centre. This and central Oxford have the advantage that they can be reached by rail as well as car - if that matters to anyone.

Currently I can do any of the dates though, the nearer it gets to June, the more likely I am to be away.

I知 good for any of the latest list of dates. (Moved home last Friday so no longer a Rutland resident, now just over the border in Lincolnshire).

Looking forward to finding my photo gear in some of the dozens of boxes we have everywhere in the next few days
