Thanks Howard. I’m going to stick my neck out here, as 21 Sep is ideal for me, so let’s say (TBC) Crich Tramway Village, 21 Sep for the 2023 UK Dyxum meet.

You have a target folks. Who’s up for it? I’ll start a list and let’s see how we do:

1. bonneville (Brian)
2. Howard_S (Howard)
3. ?

Update: Postponed until a later date

Crich Derbyshire, Tramway Village. 21st. Might be able during the day/ before 2pm certainly at this rate, but in the evening I'm meeting a family member at Heathrow. I'm in Coventry, so it's not that far away for me.

It's about 90 minutes north for me here, and then I'd have to come back to Coventry, swap cars, then go down to Heathrow. Which is also 90 minutes south for me ;) Their plane doesn't get in until 8pm.

So yeah, I could hypothetically put a morning into it ;)

Thanks @Saratoga, for suggesting a morning visit in what seems like a busy day for you. Appreciate your support but at our recent mini drone meet Howard agreed with me that, unlike our Benelux friends who seem to enjoy many and various get-to-gethers, we are struggling to get enough together for a Dyxum meet that suits a few more.

So regrettably we are going to have to postpone this one and I have now reassigned the 21st September to something else.

Sorry folks, but I dipped out of this as it became clear I was never going to be able to make the dates suggested for work reasons.

We need to try and work out how and why the Belgian and Dutch Members are so successful in putting these meetings together!

Best regards, Neil.

There was some interest in Liverpool/Birkenhead/Crosby earlier in this thread. Premier Inn and Travelodge have good prices for Sundays 1st and 15th October, any takers for a one or two day visit?

There's a good chance I'm off work on both of those weekends, so I might be in . Travelling from Manchester I might set off in the morning from here depending on the meet up time , if not I'd come over the night before .

I might have been available for the September meet as I've got two weeks off work , but I've got some welding work and brakes to sort out on my old campervan before the winter sets in .
So there was no guarantee I'd have been back on the road then .

I don;t believe that for a minute....

Seriously, though: there has to be some sort of reason why we in the UK often don't 'get together' as often as our fellow Members over on the continent?

Best regards, Neil

Would anyone be interested in a DM in London, perhaps taking in the Christmas lights? If the weather is bad there are endless museums, galleries, churches to shelter in and continue shooting.
