The toucan shot might improve with larger dof, but the sharpness and background are amazing and make the shot

I would agree with more dof on #1, but the background would then show the cage bars, that's why I choosed to shoot wide open.
It did surprised me that wide open and thru a glass, #2 was still tack sharp, I just love this lens
Both shots were taken at the Munich Zoo this summer.
Macroine addicted, not natural to english language.

Lagrimon, the Chimp shot goes deep into the soul for here lies the path to my ancestors that I can see in her eyes.

I don't know how many generations I need to travel back but I'm sure my many great great Grandmothers have struck such a pose.
