I am pleased to announce THE photo which won the "The Brothers Grimm" DPC:

Never assume. Always count.

Congratulations Darosa -- a wonderfully evocative shot. And congrats to the HMs too. It was a really hard choice when it came to voting and these were all on my short list. Sometimes -- very often, in fact -- it's impossible to say that one shot is 'better' than another -- it's the old 'chalk and cheese' problem. In the end the decision generally comes down to which one happens to appeal most at the time.

Never expected to win this DPC and I must say that I thought MiPr's and svjetlana's contributions were more in the spirit of this competition (the Moon being just a very obscure tale). But I'm not complaining . Thank you all and congrats to the 3 HM's

For some reason this DPC didn't get many entries. A shame since it was a great idea with lots of scope for imaginative shots.

Congratulations to Darosa - a brilliant shot. Well done to the other finalists.

Shame more people didn't enter.
