Dear Dyxumers,

Thsi time it was quick - I've just finished vote counting and I am pleased to announce the photo which won the competition in this interesting DPC ...

"All Quiet on the brighton Front" by RubberDials

The two runner-ups which get the Honourable Mention award are following:

"Heckle and Jeckle at the Rule of Thirds" by evangelos k

and

"Lemon Fish & Fish Lemon" by Zappa

Congratulations to the winner and the HMs and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC ...

Happy shooting,
MiPr

Greatly honored to have been included in the voting phase, let alone to be in the "final cut."

Thanks all who voted - no matter for whom - and thanks DYXUM!

Congratulations to all the finalists, a little extra to the two runners up, and a lot extra to RubberDials for the well earned victory.

Wow, I won! Normally I follow the DPCs pretty closely, whether I've entered or not, but the last fortnight I've been very unwell and on some heavy medication - so apologies for this late response. It isn't because I'm not bothered, believe me.

Firstly I'd like to congratulate all the other finalists and Zappa and Evangelos K for their outstanding HM shots. Thanks too to all those who voted and have commented in this thread.

I'd also like to thank MiPr for uploading my entry when I wasn't able to get to a computer. It's greatly appreciated and obviously I wouldn't be writing this if he hadn't.

I love the DPC and I have enjoyed following it for all the years I've been here, whether I'm in it or not. Sometimes the quality of entries is simply breathtaking, other times no-one seems to want to enter! But it's always a great inspiration to me and great fun. A special thanks to the Mods and Alpha Eyes and others who put their spare time in to make it work.
