The musical "numbers" drew your applause in our by-request competition to show what was possible using a wide variety of lenses at f2 and wider.
First place to "F-Stop Blues" by ender, with second going to the excellent B&W "F is the Key" by pauofessel. Because of its quirky appeal we have also chosen"The Eye" by 800i for an Honourable Mention award. "F-Stop Blues" by ender and our congratulations for winning against such healthy competition. ![]() |

Thanks for the kind words and the votes. I was surprised and honored just to be a finalist, especially considering some of the other entries.
I never thought I'd win a contest with my guitar ;-) I guess to complete the circle, I should write a song about photography. Acknowledgement to Jack Johnson, from whom I stole the title for this picture (Brushfire Fairytales CD). |

Well, I also have to thank ender, as I'm a musician too and he has inspired me to make my shoot. As I'm a bass singer, the part I've used was "O Isis und Osiris" which is sung by Sarastro, the archetypal of the bass singer but also the archetypal of goodness and fairness.
BTW, sorry to be a litlle abscent of Dyxum - too much work (both in IT and singing), too many photos, too little time to post and discuss them here. Thanks to all, Paulo |
