Winter is Coming ....

Not a reference to Game of Thrones... its actually coming.

Its my favourite season and I've been thinking of all the photos I want to take when it arrives.   This will be my first winter with a proper camera!

The fall to winter transition is so beautiful. What kind of things does everyone else look forward to photographing in this wonderful season of white.

-Snow Flakes!
-Frost on the plants and trees
-Ice Flows in the river
-Colourful scarfs and Toques
-The razor thin ice membranes on puddles
-Tracks in fresh snow
-Skiing!
-Breath "Fog"


... and that's just the beginning. Imagine all the wonderful things to photograph when we plunge into the minus 30s and 40s.

I don't always wear 16th century headgear, but when I do, I wear I this.

That's what I meant by "all the time".   

I just wanted to add that it was my hope of a Game of Thrones reference that brought me here... I was not disappointed.

It also seems that I've gained some knowledge of winter headwear!

You guys are lucky to have snow - I never saw it in my entire life. Here in the south we will probably be on a 35oC summer. Although it does have some unique photographic opportunities - Christmas in the summer is an unique experience.

I would count you lucky to have 35 degree weather year-round        Trade houses for the season ?

It's not for the season, really. In Sao Paulo, it's 32oC during all the year - in the summer, it gets to 35oC or more. Heat will kill you during all the year.
