Mark Twain: that is great image; mood is very winter-foresty, no colors just shades of gray, simple and beautiful. I can even see an eye like shape in lower left corner.

@steve14: The Rokinon 8mm makes this a very interesting shot. Being able to see the path ahead and then look up to the bows directly overhead gives an amazing perspective.

There are many wonderful images in this thread. I can't participate in any meaningful way because of the climate where I live. After spending the first 50 years of my life in the north, I have happily given up the bitter cold and snow but do find a certain beauty in it along with the memories of cozy fireplaces and hot drinks. However, the days of sitting by the radio, waiting to hear of school closing, building snow forts, and sleigh riding quickly gave way to adulthood and commuting traffic, shoveling snow, shivering in the morning, slipping on ice, high heating costs, etc. I can't have it both ways, so I will enjoy your images and try to remember only the beauty of it all.
