Hurray!
We got a snow lately. Not as much as Svjetlana but only (I would say) 3-5 cm. Ain't something? Wow. And we got even more today: beautiful sunny day. I couldn't resist. Grabbed my backpack with cams and drove to nearby forest to open new year with shooting. Below are a few pics taken today: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A few lenses used: Samyang 14mm f2.8, Promaster MD 28mm, f2.8, Minolta AF50mm, f1.7, Rokkor 85mm, f1.4 and Minolta AF 70-210mm, f4 beercan. Great snowscapes Jack and Svjetlana
![]() Jack, I especially like the second Monastery shot, the B&W treatment works very well for that. Svjetlana, you make Serbia look like Madrid ![]() Over here in Belgium no snow yet and last week just two cold nights below freezing. The water in our pluviometer froze so I took it out so it wouldn't burst the glass and left it to melt on the garden table. The low sun created some nice effects in this "cast icicle" Just removed: ![]() About 1 hour later: ![]() Both A7ii + Tamron 28-200 Di III RXD |

Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here

Thanks Pieter The only difference is that over here snow is natural. It melts. I've seen youtube video from Madrid of a lady trying to melt snowball with lighter but it doesn't melt. It is plastic snow apparently. ![]() Your first image has fine crystal-like appearance. Monastery nested in mountains ![]() |

We finally got real winter weather what means that some cold air front from Siberia brought us more snow and frost. And about 45 minutes ago I saw beautiful sun going down. So I grabbed my cam and shoot a few pics of my neighbourhood and urban sunset. First photo shows nothing special but I wanted to have kind of busy picture and I got it, I guess. Another one shows sunset as it really was. Shadowy foreground and bright (still)sky.
Both taken with Sony ILCE A7M2 and Sony/Zeiss AF 16-35mm, f4 lens. Pped (post processed) with PS and Topaz Adjust. ![]() ![]() Edited by Jadom - 15 January 2021 at 15:15 |
