Sorry, not close "The First Man" is a new movie about Neil Armstrong - 1st man on the moon. Kind of like "The Right Stuff" I guess. I haven't seen it yet
Hence the USS Hornet which was the ship that recovered the Apollo crew and a clue! I have an album on my flickr "A Day on an Aircraft carrier" A Great Great day I actually walked in the footsteps of Neil Armstrong! All the Best________Joe |

That's a very impressive ship Joe. As to the "First Man" the best of my googling has only come up with Dean “Diz” Laird, first person to land a jet-powered aircraft aboard USS Midway. Am I close?
