Hi everyone,

Well, the last day of snow coaching into the Park duly arrives and it is with some sadness we start our last 'adventure' in such surroundings. However, not far along the Madison River we get our first 'encounter' (no - not bison!!):

1. Quietly Ignoring Each Other

2. Sharp Hearing

3. Marking

4. Okay; There Were Bison...

5. View Towards Fountain Paint Pots

6. Steam Ghosts

7. Blue Pool on Simmer

8. Trail

9. Ice Patterns

10. Pastel Hues

11. Chalk Drawing

12. Thermophile Patterns

13. Ice and Stream

This tales us to Biscuit Basin which will be the topic for the next posting! Thanks for looking and comments always welcomed.

Best regards, Neil.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

@Mestari - yes; Yellowstone is always cited for it's bright, vibrant colours but the winter brings with is a mellowing of those to the gentle, pastel-like hues you see ehere. Another one of the surprises it hold in store!

Thanks again and best regards, Neil

I firmly disagree: #5 and #9 are the best, imho.
