Hi Brian,
I did the same shot with a normal lens for leading lines assignment. It looks different a bit simpler.

@aa: Fantastic shot, but if I can quibble... I know it is difficult with the distortions when shooting with a fisheye (I assume a fisheye or stitching), but the pillar in the middle seems to have a bit too much lean to it - have you tried straightening on that point? I realise that might mean losing some good bits off the edges, that might make it undesirable, but if it did work I think it would be an improvement.

thanks bob and yes it was taken with a 16mm fisheye, aiming to make the curves and bends stand-out but i'll try to adjust it and see if it works mate, thanks again

Excellent night shots.
You might like to note that we prefer a max of 1024 pixels wide or 810 high for verticals so those of us without widescreen can see the whole frame without scrolling.

Thank you, I will surely follow the rules next time. Sorry I did not read them before posting.
@brian33: thanks, I like that too. It’s a very strange effect from the lens I used (Sony 20 mm) and the photoshop automate pano. In reality its not like that, there is not such “valley”.
@ Andrew: thanks, all 3 are taken from the same spot over Hong Kong (from the Peak) but with different lenses and time:
shot 1: Sony 35 mm G, f/6.3, 1/4 sec, Iso 100
shot 2: Sony 20 mm, f/9, 8 sec, Iso 100
shot 3: Sony 50 mm, f/13, 10 sec, Iso 100
Andrew, your night shots are amazing.
ciao

@vispillo: I especially like the pano on the second one. Is it me or is the first one leaning just slightly?... I like how you processed the sky in both.

And... Welcome to Dyxum! I spent a little time looking at your flickr page, looks like you've got some nice shots, landscapes, still life, HDR...

It'll be a pleasure to see more from you here!

PS: feel free to post your shots even just slightly bigger - 900 pixels wide or so is sort of optimal, and up to 1024 is acceptable for landscape orientation. For portrait orientation 800 pixels tall is a good size.

@brian33 - thanks for the encouragement. I think you're right about the rotation on the first one - maybe it wasn't quite straight to start with, so things just got worse when I used ShiftN to correct for perspective distortions. I'll go back to the original file and check it out :)

Oh, and sorry about the image sizes - I have recently had to downgrade to a netbook and seem to have forgotten what it's like to have a decent-sized screen. I'll keep that in mind next time I post.
