The grip was revised each time: A6000/A6100 (same) plastic body and grip --the A6100 grip might be more like the A6300 than the A6000. A6300/A6400 (same) metal body, revised grip. ![]()
A6500 larger metal body, larger more revised grip similar in contour to A7II+ ![]() A6600 similar larger metal body, no flash, Z-battery, even larger more revised grip similar in contour to the A7RIV and A9II. ![]() Edited by QuietOC - 27 November 2019 at 13:30 |

Thanks for posting those examples. I must say I was impressed by the comfort of the grip on the A7-III that I tried so this is looking like good news for an a6600 purchase. The proof, as ever, will be when the camera has been in use for a while but things are looking good so far. Due to the recent introduction however, I don't imagine there will be even a temporary price drop for the sales etc.
Thanks everyone. |

Thank you for the comparison. I am glad I got the smaller gripped camera

Littlebit about IBIS or OSS, as final remark.
A6X00 bodies and lenses are very light and because of this image stabilisation of this combo helps lot, even more, if you already are or surely coming older. |

Yes, I find myself taking quite a few unintentionally motion blurred pictures with the A6000 and unstabilized lenses like the Sigma 30/2.8. It didn't happen as often with A5000. |

Hopefully it (IBIS) will have a positive effect on adapted a-mount lenses that lack any form of in-lens OSS too. I guess I'll find that out for myself at some point soon.
Thanks.

That is my understanding. Also the A5000 and QX1. Seems to be used without an anti-aliasing filter. |

Anita, no, not at all.
And actually - this is very nice period of our life ![]() You and me, we can see our age data at Dyxum site. Some of us are keeping it not opened. There can be many reasons. But, my hands are not so peacefull any more and this is about 5-6 years ago, when I noticed it. IBIS helps me lot. Younger persons can not know about this jet. |

When you are a wedding photographer, weight is an absolute issue! They all complain about heavy lenses, and they are right. So the mirrorless system (read lesser in weight) is also a good choice for people half my age.
Do like I did, swop system and never look back. |

In general I would agree. There were three reasons why I was not interested in investing in a full frame camera body and lens when I first bought a DSLR; those being cost, bulk and weight. Certainly even my a68 is fairly hefty when compared to an a6xxx-series mirrorless aps-c body and yet due to its plastic construction, its only 2/3 of the weight of the a77. Certainly for hiking, a good light-weight setup is a real no-brainer. The HX99 is so small and light-weight, I barely notice I'm carrying it with me at all. |
