Above are 12 options, with the Alpha selections arranged by how they came out in the last 'primary camera' poll (Feb 2014).

Please indicate which group of those shown above your primary camera fits into (a primary camera being the one you would reach for most often for photography).

Please note that available space on the line for options limits the descriptions we can put down: because of this we have used ranges of model numbers where a complete list would not fit and where we say NEX3 or NEX5, we are including all the lettered variants.

If you use a particular variant of any of the available options which you think should be listed separately (large format film, or 4/3rds digital for instance) please let us know in a posting below and if there are significant numbers we might break them out into their own category in future polls.

Note that you can only vote once in this poll!
So choose carefully...

This is part of a survey we run every once in a while to check on what the membership's cameras of choice are. It will stay open for about 3 months.

Another poll is open to let you specify your backup cameras.

Just noticed that ICLE should be ILCE - both polls.

I am counting my two a900s as both primary again, as although they might 'back each other up' so to speak, they're both used in a primary role and I have others in lesser roles.
I photograph the moments in people's lives that mean the most to them: Richard Harris Photography

I wanted to vote A850, but looking at my 2014 pictures I only did about 1400 with that camera, while my "back-up" NEX6 did way more than double at about 3600 pictures. So the facts say that my NEX6 is my main camera, and not the A850, so I voted ILCE APS-C multi dial.

Well my votes of years passed have changed. I now shoot on my a900 mainly.

My A850 AND A900 are my primary cameras. Love the two of them.

My 850 has relegated my a580's to the back bench.

Had an A850 which is now in my father's hands. I'm using an A900 now.

I have been using my a99 exclusively since February 2013, except for gear porn where I use my old R1. I might get another for a backup if no new releases excite me.

The A99 still 'feels like' my primary camera. But looking at the number of shots taken with it, I must conclude that 'in real life' the A99 is lagging behind the a7 in a serious way.
So ILCE FF for me.
