i feel like a little peasant with A68.. id really like to upgrade it. maybe even just a77ii, but they are still expensive and rare on 2nd hand market.. maaaaaybe even a99/ii if i could find one thats not overpriced, because im not sure if i want to use all my old lenses with LEA4 on e-mount..

As always, this present a conundrum as I regard my A-mount and E-mount cameras as complementary rather than one being a 'primary' camera. In the end I went with the a7Riii.

Primary: Sony A7II; Back up Sigma DP1x and Sigma DP2M - both with terrible recording time and noise in ISO over 400 but both with excellent picture quality delivered by Foveon sensor.

this was an easy vote for me (for this year)
my primary camera has changed three times while I try out other things I did 2019 with just one camera and one zoom but tried a few others this year (all of them fall in the non-A option) NEXT YEAR ... I might be able to select one of the Sony options here! |

Primary and secondary: A99 and A77ii. Depending on the need either one is primary/secondary.

I'm sticking with the eM1.ii as my primary, so many cool features.

I don't know anymore what I voted here and when, but nowadays I own an A7iii and an A7Rii.
I guess the A7iii is the primary one, but that can change easily... |

My go to camera is my Minolta Alpha 7 film camera, I pretty much only use my Sony A7R for paid commercial work which is less now that I'm injured.
My secondary choice would be my Minolta SRT Super but I have other back up Minolta film cameras in both SRT and A mount and a huge range of MD and A mount lenses plus some E mount dedicated lenses for the A7R. |

We really need a new poll. In January 2020 my main (only) camera was an A65 that I bought new in 2012 and a small collection of interesting Minolta lenses. My son was born in February 2020 and since then I have;
Sold A65 to buy A7ii - This thing is amazing, my god these lenses are expensive. Bought LA-EA4 - Yay, now I have an expensive, full frame A65 with a teenie, tiny AF sensor.... Bought A99ii - Why doesn't the AF work like they promised. Oh, only certain Sony lenses do that hybrid thing. Dang, they're kinda expensive too. At least the 50mm f/1.4 works. Blew more money on A mount lenses and a few E mount lenses. Sold A7ii to buy A7Riii - That's more like it. This AF is amazing, the IQ is outstanding. October 2021 - Had second son. Dec 2021 - Considering selling A99ii and most of the A mount gear to buy E mount lenses and maybe an A7iii for a second body if I can find a deal. Hey, am I a pro now with all this gear? Nope, just a very sick hobbyist who is lucky his wife is also into photography. Edited by jml79 - 04 December 2021 at 04:40 |

Well, Joe, welcome to our world: very sick hobbyists
Last time there was two years between the polls (2018-2020), so, 2022 makes sense. |

I agree. Plus Sony added the A1 to their line up. My main camera is different now to 2020. |

Yes, and the A1 isn't the only new camera that's been released since 2020. And welcome Joe, it's great your partner is so, err, supportive. |
