Hi everyone, need a little help please.

I have just purchased this lens, i saw it was supposed to show focus distance and depth of field on the lens.

The lens is on the a7rv and when switched on the display on the lens show Zeiss. Then it shows nothing at all where the distance and DOF is supposed to show.

Is it in certain settings these should show or do i maybe have a defective lens.

I have bought if from a reputable dealer and will be able to return it should it be needed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Think this is for manual use only. I should have checked more before posting.

It is also works with auto focus, but you can turn it on and off. At least my Zeiss Batis 135/2.8. Maybe yours is turned off.

Here is a video by Jasong Vong explaining how to turn it on or off;

I’ve turned the OLED display on full time (i.e., during AF as well as MF) on my Batis lenses, but if I’m honest, I don’t use the display because my eye is at the EVF.

With or without the display showing, you should enjoy the lens - there are very few options available at this goldilocks focal length.

It might not be that useful, the important thing is: that OLED screen is very cool

It's a wonderful lens, you'll enjoy it!

By the way it is f2 not f2.5 :-)
