... another shot, taken in our private zoo.

Black Swan (Trauerschwan)and only baby

I donīt know why the pic looks somewhat blurry here
The shot is razor sharp in my gallery. Could it be the photobucket compression?

Lovely owl, nice structure in the feathers. But the background .. is not so attractive. The swan looks beautiful. I envy you with a private zoo I think i understand what you mean about the sharpness, while it is sufficient, it could be better. Looking at the red beak (which is slight oof) i think the focus point was behind that, or it just moved with a slow shuttertime. But that's all technical, important is that it's a good shot. Thanks Rolf.

Finally saw this guy where I could snap some pictures through wire mesh instead of glass.

A couple with the A850 / Sigma 300 2.8 EX APO

I love the bokeh this lens produces

There was a powerful aroma in the area... I think he got all of us pretty good.

Those gorillas are quite special animals. I once looked at a scene just like this one. Two boys were tapping on the (very thick) glass quite annoyingly. The gorilla stood up, very calmly, walked up to the glass very calm, just past these boys. As if he didn't care. Then, after a few minutes, the gorilla walked to a heavy, iron door on the side of his room. Within one second, the gorilla kicked the door, with his feet and the building was shaking. The boys were terrified and ran away. The gorilla walked calm to where he was sitting before and looked past the other visitors. I like the humor of these gorillas, although they look scary to me
