This current copy of mine ia as good as all the 75-300s above 200, very sharp even at 300 'hand held'.

It does need a hood to combat flare, but the original hood, which came fiited with lens is very effective.

I picked this copy up along with a fully functional 7xi and 28-80xi zoom for £33 on ebay, all in almost mint condition. Regardless of the price this is a much underated lens, but i have had a very poor copy of this lens, so beware. I think I just got lucky.
