positive:A surprising lens - performed far better than I expected especially sharp at both the wide and long end. Very similar to the 100-200 but with more reach.
negative:Very little. It needs a hood but once I added a three stage rubber threaded hood all flare and chroma problems became non existent.
comment:This is great lens for travel, light, effective and sharp. Fast focusing, with good Minolta colour. When coupled with a Minolta 28-105mm and a couple of primes (20mm F2.8 & 50mm F1.7 it gives a very good travel or hiking kit that will provide a good image under almost any circumstances.
