comment:i recently upgraded from my trusted old a700 to a a850. since 50mm is now too short for portrait shooting, i needed a new lens. after reading the reviews and looking at sample images, i decided to go for the 100mm f2. this lens is rightly legendary, the images are stunning! well worth the high price i paid.

Update: I sold the lens two years ago and regreted it. Now i got a new mint copy from Ebay, the prices for used A-Mount lenses are considerably lower than they used to be. I now have the A7II+LA-EA4, the light lens is well balanced on the smaller body.
