positive:very sharp across all aperture
smooth boken
rich Minolta color
good contrast
compact but solid build
distortion is small
negative:AF a bit noisy and slow
flare control
highly priced as an old lens
comment:This is a very good lens with a distinctive old Minolta style back in the 1980s. The image quality is superb, as well as the solid build with metal and glass. The only drawback is the slow and noisy AF. I wish that Sony will reproduce this lens with a SSM motor inside, then it will qualify a "G" mark on the front cap.
