positive:Great lens with absolutely superb sharpness and contrast even at full aperture. Works flawlessly with Alpha 350. Even after about 20 years of age no sign of wear.
Good bokeh. Light weight compared to zooms despite metal barrel.
negative:Drains battery by constant and noisy refocusing (can be prevented with a lens cap). No ADI-function.
comment:Bought this lens from a friend who used to have it with Minolta 9000. No regret. Worth every penny.
Update 2015: Excellent for portrait although the focal length at APS-C of my 50 and 60 mm are more convenient.
