Stunningly sharp
Lovely bokeh

Heavy - this is a stout lens
comment:This lens is just about perfect. Images are great. This lens is surprisingly small. It is a perfect fit on an a7 with LA-EA4 adapter. Autofocus is just like everything else pre-1990. Same speed, and highly accurate. This is easily my favorite telephoto lens I have used, even over the (deservedly) vaunted Minolta 80-200 HS G. I just flat out love this lens. Sharpness, micro-contrast, even 3D look, it really can have it all. And its in a lens that is nearly exactly the size of my Sony Zeiss 55/1.8. A true marvel of design. The only thing I can think that would make it better is if it were re-made today with a bit lighter (even high grade plastic) with some modern coatings and some ED glass. This is a keeper.
