whoever engineered this lens within Minolta company was real lens Maker
it is just joy to use, for portraits, snapshots, landscapes or candits - all the time delivers stunning results

negatives:
- I have experienced some flare which occured while shooting during night into some intesivly lit areas (e.g. from a street lamp)
- I feel sometimes limited by its MFD, especially for facial portraits, however it is easily overcome by mounting 12mm extension tube (although you loose temporarily infinity focus which you don`t need for portraits anyway)

all in all: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !
