comment:I have bought this in 1993. Actually I exchanged some old Makinas. This is the lens I will never sell! The picture quality is amazing. The bokeh makes this lens perfect for portraits. I always get good results indoor and outdoor. Colors are warm. The build quality is very good. I like lenses with a weight around 500 gr. most. I always use the lens shade so I don't have any issues with flare.

I never understood why Minolta stopped producing this lens. Maybe it just missed good competition :-) as you may see it for 85mm portrait lenses.
