comment:This is a very nice lens.

In 1987 a crack commando lens unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime it didn't commit. This lens promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government (and collectors), it survives as a soldier of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the 100mm f2.

So yes, they are rare as hens teeth. But cheaper than a 135mm 1.8 by some margin, and there's not a great deal else. Worth finding one if you can because its SHARP all the way and produces lovely creamy bokeh. Perfect for portraits. I go to this lens more than any other I have owned.
