ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Vivitar 100/3.5, Minolta 50/1.7
price paid:549 USD (new @ B&H)
positive:- Wonderful bokeh
- Sharp
- Focus limiter and lock
- Circular aperture
negative:- CA (significant)
- AF speed (full "hunt" - from infinity to 1:1 and back takes 3.3s on 7D, 3.0s on 5D, 2.8s @fast AF and 3.8s @slow AF on α700) - however, reasonably fast for distant shooting
comment:A pleasure to use! There's nothing better in 100mm/macro area I think. Better bokeh than Sigma 105/2.8
