I rated the build as "only" 4 just because, like most AF lenses, manual focus is not exactly smooth or pleasant. with a "plastic on metal bearings" feeling. Other than that, it is built like the proverbial tank and a joy to use.
Flare control is good but not exceptional, and better when the light source is IN the frame than when it's just OUTSIDE the frame. On the plus side though the flare pattern is really cinematic...
