compared to:Sony 50 1.4, Tamron 28-75 2.8, Tamron 70-200 2.8, Minolta 135 2.8.
price paid:bought as lot
positive:This is an extremely sharp lense. The bokeh is almost dream like.
negative:Purple fringing, and slow focus for non macro shots.
comment:The slow focus can be expected for a macro. The purple fringing can be corrected in Lightroom. The sharpness coupled with the beautiful bokeh makes for stunning shots. This was my favorite lense with film. With digital it shows it's age a bit, but I still get amazing shots when using it. Shots I could never get with my zooms!!
