comment:The minolta 100mm macro can't be beat. Not even the Tamron is quite as good IMO. Macro images are extremely sharp and full of color, detail and contrast. Bokeh is good to, although not as good as the 100 F2. Focus ring could be a little bigger if you like to manually focus during macro photography (I do!). I only use this lens for macros so the low light hunting doesn't bother me because of 100% manual focusing.

Build gets a 4 because my focus ring froze completely during normal use. It doesn't get lower than 4 because I've not heard of this happening to anyone else.
