positive:Compact, light, very sharp, great image quality.
negative:(minor)
Skinny focus ring.
Sometimes hunts a bit.
comment:Beautiful lens to use. Gets in really close, producing razor sharp focus, amazing detail, rich colours, creamy Bokeh. As with all Macros, depth of field is greatly dictated by aperture. If the subject is moving in the breeze while using it hand held outdoors, the auto-focus sometimes judders a bit getting a fix on the target, but overall a brilliant lens that does exactly what it's designed to do, and extremely well. The fact that it has basically carried over unchanged since 1986 but for cosmetic details (and the addition of D lens capability) is a real tribute to the original design.
