comment: | About as good as it gets. So sharp it is acidic. Great OOF ( OK bokeh if you must ) and colour. Minolta at their best. Not only used for macro but generally and for portraits but do let the sitter know that this will show them "warts and all". Can hunt a bit but for macro work MF is the better way anyway and the focus limiter cuts down on all the tooing and froing. Previously had the 50mm version but the extra length makes this a less obtrusive lens. Mine went off the rails recently and had to be repaired but seeing as it will be good for at least another 20 years I have not knocked the build quality. Did I say it is sharp ! |
