negative: | Rather costly Too sharp for some portraits Hard to find |
comment: | Great lens for general macro use. It is far better than the newer models in construction and build. The color is traditional Minolta and flare and distortion are well controlled. The focusing is fast for a macro, and this is a good general purpose lens suitable for indoor use too (f2.8). This is one lens I keep in my bag when out hiking as I find it to provide enough distance between the camera and the subject. |
