ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Tamron SP 90mm f/2.5 manual focus, Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 AF model 272
price paid:200
positive:Very sharp, classic colours, 1:1 macro ratio, sturdy
negative:very bulky and heavy, AF slow and noisy as other af macro with in-camera af motor.
comment:excellent for macrophotography, although not super sharp like modern macro lenses. Bright and warm colors in a minolta style. Very high contrast and micro-contrast. Especially usable in macros. Solid and accurate construction, but too heavy and bulky.
