Heavy Metal
Good build
negative:What a price!
Thin type focus ring (old style)
comment:My first (and only) real macro lens used zooms and other primes to do that before.
I went for the old type because all my other minolta lenses are the old first AF ones so this one really fits in.
Easily the sharpest lens I own.
AF is slow but workable (altough it hunts at times) but who needs AF with a macro anyway?
Hood is good but i rather would have had a pinch type fit.
