positive: | Very Sharp Excellent choice for macro work |
negative: | Small focus ring CA can be problematic |
comment: | I purchased this lens new back when the Minolta 7000i was released! Great 'Old School' Minolta metal build quality - only drawback is that it makes it heavier than the current Sony equivalent. Very Sharp - as most other reviewers have noticed. Not a big fan of the small focus ring which can be a bit of a pain as I use manual focus for macro work. I have found that CA is problematic when using this lens for non macro work in high contrast scenarios. |
