ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Min 28-85 mini-beercan
Min 70-210 beercan
price paid:270 USD (clean used)
positive:I can find nothing to fault with this lens, save for possibly the small manual focus ring, as others have already commented.
comment:If you know how to use such a lens properly, you will find this one incredible. I've used it for only available outdoor light macro, and had no problems with flare at all, while not even using a hood. The color using Velvia was very saturated, like the beercan. My example is mechanically perfect, pretty amazing for an old lens. For me, the main benefit is the sharpness--fantastic detail emerges, really useful for cropping images, which I do frequently.
