comment:This macro lens is great for macro photography and is a beautiful lens when its finish is unblemished. I love the build. Macro lenses when using high magnification usually require manual focusing - this lens is geared just right to permit AF at near 1:1 magnification by screw-drive on both my A100 and A700 bodies. I sold mine because I didn't find myself doing much macro - there's just too many people who care more than I about the macro world - I'll just look at their pictures!

The IQ can't be beat, really. That's what makes this lens worth buying.
