ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Minolta 70-210 F4
Minolta 50 F3.5 macro
price paid:200 GBP
positive:Very sharp
Minolta colours
Integral hood
Small and light
negative:Cost - but you get a lot of IQ for the money
Not as sharp as the 50 macro (no surprise) but still very sharp with marvellous colours and contrast producing 3D like images.

The hood does its job and is nicely tucked away when refixing the front lens cap.

Costly - but good glass usually is!!!
