ownership:I own this lens
compared to:kit lens
price paid:240 USD (used)
positive:Sharp from wide open, a bit stopped down is excellent, compact and nice heavy, good zoom range, no creeping zoom, D lens - ADI metering...
negative:nothing till, will there ever be?
comment:It was a lens I still wanted to get from times I read about. I was told about its sharpness, color and other things...and now I'm satisfied. I was looking for it through eBay and found some of them for a good price from $240 till $500. In a shop near my home they ask $850 for a new Sony 24-105. If someone wants to change kit lens, will be satisfied too as I am. Very good range, 24mm is enough for indoors (though 18 is better) and 105 is right prepared for the next zoom 100-300 APO.
