positive: | - amazing sharpness when stopped down, sharper than Zeiss 16-35, both at 24/35mm f8 - perfect small size and light - price |
negative: | - soft wide open (especially in corners, but generally across the frame - flare (night photography) |
comment: | This is an awesome lens, even if it would cost more. The performance to price ratio is just amazing if you dont need anything below f5.6. it is sharper than other lenses tested at f8 and the respective focal length. The sizes makes it a perfect walk around lens to carry on your FF frame DSLR/SLT all day long. Only to issues I have with it are that it cant really be used wide open and the way it handles flare in night photography. Other than that this lens is perfect on my A99. |
