|comment:||I have bought this lens primarily as a travel / walkaround lens. It performs well. The 25-85 lens is MUCH superior to the 35-105 (which has very low contrast giving a totally flat image).There are few FF walkaround options forthe a850 or a900. This does the job. Colours are great, distortion can be corrected and CA is negligible. The lens is reasonably robust and the lens hood works well. Autofocus is excellent. No barrel wobble on my copy.|
The centre is sharp but the corners are a little soft wide open. By F8 when this lens is sharp across the field.
This is a good walkaround for Sony FF with some compromises.
