ownership:I own this lens
compared to:Minolta 24-85 f3.5/4.5 old version. This fix 24mm is a bit sharper in both center and corner @f4 for both lens at 24mm. At f8, both lens performance comes very close with this len far less CA than the zoom.
price paid:190USD used
positive:Compact and well built. Fast focusing.
negative:
missing
comment:A very good wide angle len can be used as if 36mm in APS-C sensor or truly 24mm in full frame. I think any Minolta or Alpha users of either full frame or APS C must have. Unfortunately, Minolta didn't make one with F2.0. Really missed.
