ownership:I own this lens
compared to:35/2
price paid:250 CAD mint
positive:- good colors
- close focusing
- sharp in center from 2.8
- small and compact
negative:- soft corners wide open
comment:Another Minolta good lens.
Only problem is extreme corners which are little soft and to get them sharp you need to step down to f4.5 on A700 and on film to f8. In center lens is sharp from f2.8, color is excellent.
It is not as good as 35/2, or 28/2, but worth to try, if for <220 USD.
